USES OF THE TOP OVEN
The top oven is the smaller of the two ovens. It is heated by elements in the top and bottom of the oven. It is
designed for cooking smaller quantities of food. It gives especially good results if used to cook fruit cakes, sweet or
savoury flans or quiche.
The top oven is also ideal for use as a warming compartment to warm dishes and keep food hot. Use a
temperature setting of 80C° -100°C on the top oven control dial.
SELECTING THE TOP OVEN
· Turn the top oven function selector to

required setting.
· The cooling fan will operate immediately with the
top oven. For more details on cooling fan
operation see page 9.
THINGS TO NOTE
1. The grill cannot be operated when the top oven is
in use. If the grill and top oven controls are
selected at the same time, only the top oven will
operate.
2. The top oven indicator neon will glow until the
oven has reached the desired temperature and
then go out. It will turn ON and OFF periodically
during cooking showing that the oven
temperature is being maintained.
3. The cooling fan will operate immediately with the
top oven. For more details about the cooling fan
see page 9.
4. Always place plates on the oven shelf to warm.
Never place dishes directly on the top oven base
as becomes very hot and damage may occur.
TO FIT THE TOP OVEN SHELF
The shelf should be fitted with the straight rods
uppermost on the frame and the forms towards the
back of the oven. If not fitted correctly the anti-tilt
and safety stop mechanism will be affected.
